Structure is the hard part of a loft
A loft conversion is mostly a structural job: new floor joists, steel beams, a staircase with enough headroom and a protected escape route. Because we design the structure in-house, the drawings and calculations come from one engineer and match each other.
Many dormer lofts are permitted development. We confirm it with a Lawful Development Certificate, or prepare a planning application where it's needed.

Questions
Do I need planning permission for a loft conversion?
Often not. Dormers within 40 m³ (terraced) or 50 m³ (other houses) that don't face the road are usually permitted development, except in conservation areas or where rights have been removed. Check yours.
