One engineer, every stage
Most extension projects need two approvals: planning permission, or confirmation it isn't needed, and building regulations approval. Most also need structural calculations for beams and foundations. Other firms split this between a designer and an outside engineer. Ashbridge does all three, so nothing gets lost between two firms and there's no waiting for a third-party engineer.

- Planning: your council’s local plan and design guidance, and the national rules on permitted development for householders.
- Building regulations: technical drawings and specifications prepared to the Approved Documents for England.
- Structural calculations: prepared by a civil engineer (MSc) to the relevant British Standards and Eurocodes, for building control approval.
- Honest titles: we are an engineer-led design practice, not architects. “Architect” is a title protected by the Architects Registration Board.
